Kelly Snodgras

Financial Advisor | Agency Producer

VP of Client Relations

RS Financial Group, LLC

Kelly Snodgras was raised her early childhood in South Louisiana until her family moved to Memphis. At 15 years old her father taught her ground school and she passed her private pilot written exam. Kelly then transferred to Randolph Macon Academy, a military boarding high school in VA to continue her private pilot flight training and soloed. After graduation she moved back to South Louisiana to finish her flight training and achieve her private pilots license before college began. Kelly went to college at Sowela, a small school well-known for their excellent aviation maintenance technology program. After completing the program she decided to move back to Memphis to be closer to her 2 sisters, Mom and maternal family.

Kelly quickly began working at the National Association of Credit Management where she worked for the next 7 years. She began part time as an input clerk and moved up to full time as Director of the Member Services. Here Kelly learned a lot about business to business credit, management, marketing and sales. One of the members after quite a bit of persuasion talked Kelly into moving to Independent Bank where she spent the next 10 years. She started in the real estate lending department just before the market crashed. Luckily Kelly was moved into the retail side as a retail banker and moved her way up to branch manager where she spent the last six years of her time there managing several different branches. Kelly joined our team in 2016 as Vice President of Client Relations.

Kelly loves traveling and animals. She grew up with a mother that was a flight attendant and a father that was a helicopter and airplane pilot so she was fortunate to visit a lot of places. Kelly's favorite place she traveled to as a child was Kenya, Africa. Her mother formed Guardian Angel Pet Rescue, a 501(c)3 non-profit and one of the first all breed pet rescues in Memphis in 2001 which is staffed entirely by volunteers. She is the Vice President and in charge of public relations and was a guest for Wet Nose Wednesday each week on the Mike and Mandy show for the last 11 years which highlights a cat or dog to be adopted. In the last 15 years Kelly has fostered a few hundred dogs/cats with the last two being foster dogs for five years before finding their forever home. After they were adopted she decided to take a break and give her two old dogs that had trained and shared their home with so many others time just for them. She also enjoys gardening and being outside with nature. Kelly has a close family and enjoys spending time with her Mom, 2 sisters, niece, grandmother, aunt, uncle and friends.

Kelly loves her neighborhood and home in East Memphis that she shares with her only child Kristopher, their 10 year old black cat Clark (rescued from our building's parking lot as a kitten) and their newly rescued puppy, Cindel, an eight month old possibly Rhodesian Ridgeback mix rescued by a nice Memphis Police officer. Within minutes of the puppy and her son meeting each other Kelly knew she had a new dog. Cindel loves to play fetch and snuggle with Kris. Kris was born the summer of 2015 and is such a friendly little fellow. He tells everyone he sees "hi" including the birds and squirrels. Kris loves animals and has yet to meet one that he doesn't want to pet. Like his Mom he has loved the water since he was 6 weeks old and really enjoyed swimming lessons this summer. Kris adores his cousin, Kira and enjoys all of the time they get to spend together.
